It’s been almost six months since one mystery Euromillions enthusiasts from North Somerset won a £1.000.000 prize, but they’re still nowhere to be found. The clock is ticking and if the winner doesn’t come forward in the next few days this amazing amount of cash will be lost forever.
The mysterious ticket holder matched the winning UK Millionaire Maker code HDSQ 06930 in the Euromillions draw on September 19th last year. Lotto winners in the UK and Ireland have up to 180 days before their ticket expires – when it comes to this North Somerset, they have until March 18th to make their claim. Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, urged the players to check their tickets and look for the ones they might’ve lost or forgotten about.
“We are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money. We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing Euromillions ticket could be hiding. This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there,” said Mr. Carter.
Euromillions has been rolling over since February 23rd when two players from Spain and the UK shared a £155.000.000 windfall. The latest draw that failed to produce a jackpot winner took place on March 9th – the winning numbers were 9, 14, 21, 32 and 44 with the Lucky Stars 1 and 12. Two residents of the UK and Belgium missed the jackpot by one of the Lucky Stars to scoop £388.000 each. Two British players also collected £1.000.000 in the UK Millionaire Maker draw by matching the codes JQWZ 19593 and MQWX 32539. The next Euromillions draw will take place tonight and it will offer £54.000.000.
