21-year-old to get a driver's license after £1.000.000 Euromillions victory

Aston Martin is one of those cars everyone dreams of buying, but driving in a vehicle worthy of James Bond comes with a price not many can afford. Alex Best is planning to park one in his garage after his £1.000.000 Euromillions win, but he’ll have to learn how to do it first since this fortunate 21-year-old didn’t pass his driving test yet.

The resident of County Durham decided to purchase a Euromillions ticket on January 9th while he waited in line to buy a bag of Skittles. One day after the draw, he decided to check his numbers, but none of them matched. Despite initial disappointment, he moved on to checking the UK Millionaire Maker code, only to discover he’s about to receive £1.000.000!

“I just stared at the screen, reading every letter and number again and again to make sure it was true. I was shaking like a leaf. The machine made a jingle which was enough to convince me I had actually won. It was the best feeling ever, knowing that I’m now officially a millionaire,” said the 21-year-old man.

Best graduated from the University of Bolton last September, but won’t have to worry about paying off his loans and living pay check to pay check, unlike most university graduates. He said this victory transformed his life and the lives of those around him, and that he’ll use the money to buy his first house and an Aston Martin, travel abroad and follow his dream of finding a job in music event production.

“Thanks to this win, I no longer have to do part time work and can put all my focus in getting my dream job working in the music industry. It’s what I love doing, hopefully I can go on tours with big music stars or work at festivals like Glastonbury,” said Best after collecting his £1.000.000 windfall.
