Brits need over £5 million to ‘live the dream’

We’ve carried out a survey which has revealed that a jackpot isn’t a ‘true’ jackpot unless it’s over a whopping £5.4 million.

That’s the amount the average Brit would need to cover the cost of their most desired aspirational items.

Luckily, Multilotto players can bet for the chance to win jackpots way in excess of that amount including the massive £153 million EuroMillions jackpot.

And, if you’re new to the site, you can get 2 for 1 bets on tonight’s draw!

What we’d spend it all on

The first thing UK residents would do with a huge lotto win would be to flash the cash on a new home, followed by paying off their current mortgage and other debts, then booking a luxury holiday abroad.

Some of the more outlandish things Brits would spend their lottery millions on include a canal boat in Amsterdam, a steam engine and an Egyptian mummy.

Another respondent would pay for their son to spend a day playing with platypuses in Victoria, Australia.

Meanwhile, a third wished for nothing more than 10 pairs of thick socks from Marks & Spencers.

The video below reveals a little bit more about British attitudes to cash!

1 in 4 would give to charity

Kind-hearted millionaires would also make sure they helped the less fortunate with their windfall, with over a quarter saying they’d donate to a charity regardless of how much they’d won.

And, unsurprisingly, most people who took home a lottery jackpot would pack in work at the earliest opportunity.

Although 16 per cent would continue to work even after winning the lottery.

While winning the lottery is a dream come true for most, a third think that winning a huge sum would lead to anxiety.

And just five per cent of Brits, surveyed by OnePoll, would be happy for everyone to know that they’d won a big jackpot.

A quarter say a huge lottery win would make them more relaxed, but one in 20 think they would end up more paranoid with millions in the bank.
