Every parent wants to help their kids follow their dreams, and Lesley White will be able to do just that after winning £1.000.000 on Euromillions. The fortunate woman from Halifax will take her husband and daughter to Disney World, keeping a promise she gave her a long time ago.
White has been playing the lottery for 24 years, and after buying tickets for Euromillions draw on March 6th she wasn’t in a big rush to check them. The lucky lady never won a major prize, and thought nothing will change this time around so she left tickets inside her purse and remembered them a week later when she returned to the store to buy new ones.
“I couldn’t believe it when the cashier told me the amount was too big for her to pay out and I would have to call Camelot to confirm my win. To think I had been carrying £1.000.000 around in my purse for a week and I didn’t even know it!” said Ms. White.
Her wish list is a pretty long, but taking her 10-year-old daughter on a Disney adventure in Florida will always be the priority. White also plans to leave her job as a parcel packer in a mail order warehouse, do a couple of home repairs and buy a new car after 11 years of driving the old model.
“My daughter has always wanted to go to Walt Disney World and now I can take her and make this dream real. I always said to her when I win the lottery I will take you and now I can. It is something you always dream about happening but never really believe it will happen to you. I can now live a life with no money worries,” concluded White.
