It’s been over two weeks since a mystery player from South Kesteven area scooped an enormous £9.500.000 jackpot, but we still don’t know who they are. Lottery officials got tired of waiting for the fortunate player to come forward, and decided to take things into their own hands. They urged all the players in the area to check their tickets, and some of the past winners were eager to help them out.
Spectacular £9.500.000 jackpot was won by someone who correctly guessed the six main numbers 1, 4, 31, 33, 52 and 55 in the UK Lotto draw on April 7th. Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser for the National Lottery, said they’re still waiting for the lucky millionaire to come forward. Cold champagne is waiting for them right now – all they have to do is check the ticket!
“We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings and we’re urging everyone to try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags, down the back of the sofa and anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune!” said Carter.
Lottery winners Jim and Maureen Emerton showed their support to the National Lottery. The couple was present at the media event in Grantham, held to raise awareness of the public about the unclaimed £9.500.000 ticket. The Emertons encouraged lottery enthusiasts to check their numbers, because that simple act may lead to the most life-changing moment of their life.
“I hope these people claim this money. They do not know what they are missing. They have to get their tickets and enjoy life. They will certainly do that by winning lotto,” said the couple.
